In error, most people only view blogging as a resource for making a full online income, however, it is also an exceptional tool for getting a few extra dollars per month on a passive or supplemental basis. This article will discuss the many ways that your blog can be utilized to produce a supplemental income.

Review Amazon products on your blog. You can opt what products to write about which is one of the biggest advantages of this strategy. Amazon has an excellent referral and affiliate program meaning that if someone buys a product or a book through the link on your blog, you get a decent percentage of the sale. The best way to get good sales this way is to write very thorough reviews that tell people exactly what to expect but that do not give away the whole thing.

Sure, you could set up a widget in your sidebar but you'll get more sales by reviewing products in posts. Not only will you make more sales, you'll be better endearing yourself to the people who read your blog.

Sell Text Ads in your sidebar. Your earnings should be around the same level, even if text ads don't generate as much money but you can get more of them in the same amount of space. Test ads and their low price tempt advertisers because it's a way to test your blog without paying a fortune for a graphic ad. For an average month, text ads sell for about ten dollars per month. A popular blog will automatically mean higher rates. Since you can put two or three in the same area one graphic takes up means you may even be able to make more money with them.

Allow people to submit content to your blog that they have written. It does have some similarities to guest posting but the content usually has links they use to make additional cash and it tends to be promotional rather than informative. Be careful with this. You can charge quite a lot of money for this because you don't get to control the content. Concurrently, though, the lack of any say regarding the content can lead to your readers becoming annoyed with you. You should give yourself a way out by including it in your policy or contract the fact that you can veto the posting of any content. You might have to charge a little bit less for this type of monetization but isn't the control over the final content worth it? There are many solutions to generating income via a blog. Most people toss up some Google Ads and call it good but if you get creative there are many more opportunities out there. The great thing about blog monetization is that you can make a little extra cash while you advertise other projects. It's a great approach from any direction.
